The value of installing EV chargers is widely unrecognised, knowing how to optimise the opportunity can be a challenge. Vantage provide specialist independent advice through extensive data collection and knowledge of the market.
With only 35,000 public chargers in the UK currently serving over 1 million EVs, there is an opportunity for landlords to differentiate properties and secure a competitive advantage when EVs become the new norm.
We work with landlords to carefully evaluate and strategically plan their EV charging infrastructure. With many arrangements available, we will work to find the most suitable one by offering independent advice that enables us to optimise the opportunity and maximise revenue.
Installing EV chargers on-site will attract and retain shoppers and increase their dwell time, increasing the retailer's revenue and contributing to increasing the rental value of the property for landlords.
Owning and running EV charging stations can be done under a variety of different circumstances, Vantage is here to help determine what is the best option for you and your property.
The first option is when a property owner has complete ownership. This option involves the landlord's investment in the equipment, installation, and management and then profiting from the provision of charging services by leasing spaces to tenants or selling electricity directly to EV drivers. Vantage can act as the Project Manager and oversee the full process from the initial site survey to the installation.
A second option is to enable a third party to fully fund the EV chargers and compensate the property owner for their use of the space, through a lease agreement offering a guaranteed income to the property owner. As a result, the third party will be fully responsible for ownership and maintenance costs, but they will also receive the entire revenue potential of offering EV services as services as EV use rises over time.
Vantage help landlords optimise the opportunity and maximise their revenue by carefully selecting the right partners that meet their needs. We will act on your behalf to give you the best possible outcome.
First Mover Advantage
The inevitable growing demand for EV chargers makes this a lower-risk opportunity than many would believe. Good advice is key and our team at Vantage have done the research and has the contacts to deliver a successful EV solution for landlords throughout the UK. The exciting EV and commercial property tie-up is not one to be missed and the sooner opportunities are open up the greater the returns will be.
